I'm sitting in Caribou in Hudson listening to Christians and Muslims argue religion. The main point: whether or not the Christians are apologizing for disrespecting the Muslim's beliefs. Oy vey!

Later. Namaste.

Okay, so we still haven't told my parents, which is why I've not posted the news here yet. I really want to see them and tell them in person. What news, you ask?

[info]ww_babe and I are getting married!

Yep, you read right, 3stitches is not only stitchin', he's hitchin'!

We're doing the deed on July 12! Yes, we've done all the premarital discussion about every possible subject. No, we didn't just have a single conversation. We went through two different questionnaires and we're going to have a long conversation with [info]ww_babe's HP and HPS. The fact is, we're both complete adult human beings and we know what we want, so we're not going to wait.

Can you tell I love her? I adore her!

Later. Namaste.

Wendy Rule concert
The Wendy Rule concert, sponsored by the Eye of Horus, was great! The first act was Felonious Bosch, which I hadn't heard before, but was really fun! It's a six-piece combo and their musicians sat in on numbers with both of the other acts.

Kari Tauring was next (featruring [info]twyern on stav). What a blast!

Wendy Rule closed the show and she was fantastic! Kari's interview on the show is here.

All in all, I had a wonderful time with [info]ww_babe. Thanks, Sweetie!

Later. Namaste.

New York Times interviews 3stitches!
I forgot to mention that the New York Times had a reporter and photographer at the rendezvous this weekend. I was interviewed in depth along with [info]ww_babe and Ducky (and several other folks). I have no idea when the story will run, but watch the Times. (Yeah, we'll see. Still, they printed a cool article about my brother last August, so maybe.)

Later. Namaste.

Dunn County Clerics were great last Wednesday, and I'm looking forward to seeing them Thursday Night at Acadia. Lots of people showed up at Coffee Cauldron, and a good time was had.

More of my week here )

Okay, now I'm home, caught up on e-mail and LJ, and hungry so I guess I'd better go tackle cleaning the kitchen.

[info]ww_babe, I love you!

Later. Namaste.

Well, I got four of the five skirts done. I may have time to do the fifth tonight after I pack. Off to shower and then to my class.

Later. Namaste.

Waiting for the dryer to finish. I just washed 15 yards of fabric (3 yards each of 5 fabrics). I'm going to sew this morning. That's right, I'm sewing today. I'm making [info]ww_babe five skirts for rendezvous. Yep, that's how much she rates. And no, I have not decided to go back to sewing. I still won't do it for anyone else, so don't ask. Sorry. She's special.

So, what did I do this week? Well, Wednesday I went to Austin/Moscow to help the Goat Lady on her building projects. I wish we'd accomplished more, but that motorcycle shed was reaallllyyy wobbly. Came home, Friday after setting up at the zoo, did my Mad Science class then spent some very nice time with [info]ww_babe (now how can I make little hearts fly around her name in my journal? Err, waitaminit, mush? Me? Never!) and we went down to Byron Saturday morning. Fun time at the zoo and squiffiness provided by [info]ww_babe's mead. Sunday saw the Wookie and my favorite 18th Century sawbones and fam. Cottonwood and his family and the Goat Lady and her family were there when we got there on Saturday. Like I said, a very nice time. And they didn't even give me too much of a hard time about [info]ww_babe. (They all thought, like I did, that I was finished with that sort of thing. I'm quite happy to admit we were all wrong.)

[info]ww_babe and I were first off the site (I've never been first off site - I'm usually last!) and got back to her place in time to help out with some of the mead being made. My tupelo is delish, and I will be rationing it this season. No more than one bottle per event so more folks will have an opportunity to taste it.

I got home around 9:00 Monday. I'll be leaving tomorrow early afternoon for Cannon River Rendezvous. [info]ww_babe can't get away to come down until Friday :(. I miss you already!

Well, the fabric is dry, so I'm gonna go sew.

Later. Namaste.

Babelicious, I love you!
